Deborah Hunn is a Senior Lecturer at Curtin University's School of Media, Creative Arts and Social Inquiry within the Faculty of Humanities. She holds a PhD from the University of Western Australia (2001) and has taught at the University of Adelaide and the University of Western Australia before joining Curtin. Her research interests span narrative theory, queer theory, creative writing, modernism/postmodernism, satire/humour writing, experimental writing, and fan fiction. She has received the Patricia Hackett Prize (2014) and multiple Curtin Student Guild Awards for teaching excellence (2006–2008). Her creative and scholarly work often explores intersections between literary genres, cultural studies, and identity politics.
