David Tarvin

David Tarvin is an instructional associate professor and director of the undergraduate departmental honors program at Texas A&M University’s Department of Communication & Journalism. He also serves as the department coordinator for education abroad, advocating strongly for students to study abroad. Prior to his current role, he taught abroad in Costa Rica and joined Texas A&M in 2014 after earning his Ph.D. in Communication from Louisiana State University in 2013. He leads fieldtrips to Costa Rica and has organized faculty-led study abroad programs in Italy. His work emphasizes the transformative impact of global experiences on personal and intellectual growth.
