David Sanchez Burr is an Associate Professor of Art and Chair of the Art and Art History department at Lake Forest College. His academic focus includes sculpture, sound, mixed media, and technology. He holds an MFA in Studio Art (New Media concentration) from the University of Nevada, Las Vegas (2009) and a BFA in Painting and Printmaking from Virginia Commonwealth University (1993).

His research explores intersections of sound, technology, and identity through installations, video, and interactive works. He has been awarded grants from the Nevada Arts Council and Media Arts Program, as well as recognition for innovative work in sound and new media.
