David North

David North is an Associate Professor and Department Chair in the Computer Science department at Oklahoma Christian University's College of Engineering & Computer Science. With a 30-year career in software development, he has served as a project manager, system architect, CTO, and COO, managing hundreds of software projects with a focus on Internet application development. A member of the Association for Computing Machinery (ACM), his professional expertise spans cutting-edge technologies and development methods.

His research interests lie in software engineering, particularly in the design and implementation of web and mobile applications, as well as the challenges and opportunities in launching startup businesses. These interests are informed by his extensive industry experience and leadership in academic administration.

Outside academia, North enjoys sailing, photography, and travel. He is active in his community as a deacon at Memorial Road Church of Christ, directing the Capitol Hill Ministry.
