David N. Anderson

David N. Anderson is a Faculty Associate at the Community of Christ Seminary, affiliated with Graceland University. He holds a DMin in Missional Theology and Spiritual Formation from Lipscomb University's Hazelip School of Theology. His research focuses on issues of shalom, international affairs, justice for the common good, and the prophetic nature of peace and justice. He earned a BA from the US Air Force Academy, an MA in International Public Policy from Johns Hopkins University's Paul Nitze School of Advanced International Studies, and an MA in Christian Ministry from Graceland.

David’s career spans military service as a USAF Colonel (30 years), roles as an operational fighter pilot, diplomat, and strategic planner, and academic fellowships at Uppsala University and the Hoover Institution. He currently serves as a full-time field minister with Community of Christ, leading pastoral and administrative roles and directing human resources in Europe and the U.S. His work integrates theological reflection with international peacebuilding and justice advocacy.

Notable contributions include research on peace and war as an Olmsted Scholar, advising seminarians, and policy advising at NATO. He emphasizes Micah 6:8’s call to justice, kindness, and humility in his ministerial and academic pursuits.
