Dr. David Meyer is a Professor in the Department of Geology at the University of Cincinnati, with a distinguished career spanning over five decades. His research focuses on paleontology, marine biology, and evolutionary ecology, particularly of echinoderms like crinoids and brachiopods. He holds a Ph.D. in Geology from Yale University (1971) and a B.S. in Geology from the University of Michigan (1966).
His work includes extensive field and laboratory studies of modern and fossil crinoid communities, with projects in the Great Barrier Reef, Caribbean, and Ordovician outcrops of Ohio and Kentucky.
