David McLauchlan

David McLauchlan is a Professor of Law at Victoria University of Wellington, New Zealand, where he has served since 1971. He holds concurrent roles as a Professorial Fellow at the University of Melbourne and an Honorary Professor at the University of Queensland. Additionally, he is an associate member of Stout Street Chambers in Wellington.

His research expertise focuses on contract law and commercial law, with recent emphasis on contract interpretation and remedies for breach of contract. He has authored two books and numerous journal articles and book chapters in these areas.
