David McClenaghan is a Horn Teacher and member of the Instrumental and Ensemble Coaching Staff at the Royal Conservatoire of Scotland's Brass Department since 1991. He holds the position of Fourth Horn with the Royal Scottish National Orchestra (RSNO), combining performance with teaching. Born in Glasgow, he studied at the Royal College of Music in London and has extensive orchestral experience, including roles with the City of Birmingham Symphony Orchestra, Welsh National Opera, and London Symphony Orchestra.
His career highlights include 27 years as Principal Horn of the RSNO and performances as a soloist in works by Mozart, Strauss, Gliere, and Schumann.
