David Klope

David Klope is an Associate Professor of Communication at Mount Mercy University, where he has taught since 2001. Dr. Klope holds a PhD in Rhetoric from the University of Utah (1991), an MA in Communication from San Diego State University (1984), and a BA in Speech/Drama from Biola University (1980).

His career path includes diverse experiences, such as professional acting in San Diego (1982–1984) and graduate studies at the University of Iowa. Research interests focus on rhetorical studies and the application of communication principles in religious contexts. Teaching responsibilities include courses in communication and public relations.
