David King

Dr. David King is an External Lecturer in the Department of Computer Science at the University of Oxford. He holds titles of Fellow and Visiting Fellow and specializes in security and incident management. His PhD in applied cryptography, awarded in 1987, underpins his research expertise. Dr. King has held senior security leadership roles in the financial sector and maintains close ties with academia, focusing on security management, crisis management, and formal methods. He serves on industry committees and is a Liveryman of the Worshipful Company of Information Technologists. In 2008, he was honored as a Freeman of the City of London.
