David Kagan

David Kagan, PhD, is an Associate Teaching Professor in the Department of Physics at the University of Massachusetts Dartmouth. He holds a PhD from the University of Cambridge (2007) and a BA from Columbia University (2002). His research focuses on quantum computing and control in noisy environments, supported by a $231,213 grant from the Office of Naval Research.

Dr. Kagan teaches undergraduate and graduate courses including Classical Physics II, Elec & Magnt Fields II, Senior Thesis, and Special Topics in Physics. His instructional approach emphasizes fundamental concepts in electricity, magnetism, and quantum theory.
