David H Chisholm is Professor Emeritus of German Studies at the University of Arizona. His scholarship explores interdisciplinary connections between German literature, music, and cultural history.
Research specialties include:
- German literary-political cabaret traditions
- Interrelationships between music and literature
- German lyric poetry and versification
- Linguistic approaches to literary analysis
Awarded Fulbright and Alexander von Humboldt fellowships for research in Germany. Serves on board of Alexander von Humboldt Association of America. Published extensively on Goethe, versification, and textual analysis.
