David Guéranger

David Guéranger is a sociologist and political scientist holding a doctorate and HDR (Habilitation à Diriger des Recherches). He has been a researcher at LATTS (Laboratory of Techniques, Territories and Society) since 2003 and serves as an associate researcher at Berlin's Marc Bloch Center, affiliated with École des Ponts ParisTech.

His research examines French decentralization reforms and local institutions through intercommunality studies, with current focus on digital transformation in local administrations, work practices of territorial leaders, and professionalization of elected officials. This intersects political sociology, public administration, and governance studies.

He leads LATTS' Govern Organize Work (GOT) research axis, driving collaborative investigations into territorial governance structures and organizational dynamics. His work bridges academic research with practical policy challenges in evolving administrative landscapes.
