David Greechan is a Teaching Fellow at the University of Strathclyde's Institute of Education within the Faculty of Humanities & Social Sciences. Previously, he held leadership roles in Glasgow City Council secondary schools, including Principal Teacher of Technical Subjects and Faculty Head of Technologies. He led strategic initiatives for technical education at the local and national levels and currently serves on the Scottish Government’s national Technologies forum, shaping national educational policies.
His research emphasizes pedagogical innovation in STEM education, particularly the application of augmented reality (AR) to enhance primary school students' learning experiences. He collaborates with North Lanarkshire’s St Maurice’s primary cluster schools and the FABLAB team to foster STEM engagement.
