David Candon

David Candon is a Senior Lecturer in the Department of Economics at Nottingham Business School, Nottingham Trent University. He joined NTU in September 2019 after four years at the University of Edinburgh’s School of Economics. His academic journey began with a PhD in Economics from University College Dublin (2015).

• Teaches modules such as Macroeconomic Theory and Applications, Quantitative Methods for Economists, and Leadership and Employability.
• Focuses on health economics, labour economics, and demographic impacts of health shocks (e.g., cancer, strokes) on workforce participation.
• Research appears in journals like Acta Oncologica, Economics and Human Biology, and European Journal of Health Economics.
