David Becker

David Becker is an Associate Professor at the University of Alabama at Birmingham (UAB), holding appointments in the School of Public Health (Health Policy & Organization department) and the Collat School of Business (Marketing, Industrial Distribution, and Economics department). He has been at UAB since July 2005, serving as Vice Chairperson of the Health Policy & Organization department since March 2015. Additionally, he is an Associate Scholar at the Lister Hill Center for Health Policy.

He holds a PhD in Economics from the University of California, Berkeley (2005) and a BA in Economics from the same institution (1996). His research interests span health policy, public health administration, clinical sciences, and economic analysis of healthcare systems.
