Dave Arney

Dave Arney is a Faculty Associate at the Berkman Klein Center for Internet & Society and an Instructor in Anaesthesia at Harvard Medical School. His work focuses on medical device interoperability, telemedicine, and digital health ecosystems. He holds a PhD in Computer Science from the University of Pennsylvania and a Master's in Public Health from Harvard T.H. Chan School of Public Health.

Research Interests:

• Development of open-source platforms like OpenICE for medical device integration
• Closed-loop control systems and autonomous medical technologies
• Standards development (ASTM, AAMI, ISO) for medical IoT
• Patient safety through interoperable telemedicine solutions
