Darrin DeMoss

Dr. Darrin DeMoss is a Professor of Biology at Morehead State University with over 20 years of service, currently serving as Faculty Athletics Representative where he oversees NCAA compliance, student-athlete eligibility, and faculty-athletics coordination.

His educational background includes:

• Bachelor of Science in Biology from Morehead State University (1989)
• Master of Science in Biology from Morehead State University (1991)
• Doctorate in Biomedical Sciences from Marshall University School of Medicine (1996)

Research focuses on skeletal physiology mechanisms and microgravity effects on glioblastoma, bridging cancer biology, space medicine, and drug-response dynamics. His work informs both undergraduate biomedical curricula and clinical applications.

Academic leadership includes chairing Southern Association of Colleges and Schools compliance certification, serving on the St. Claire Regional Medical Center Institutional Review Board, and developing MSU's biology/biomedical science concentrations through 8+ revised courses.
