Darius Williams

Darius Williams is an Instructor of Mathematics at Jacksonville State University (JSU), affiliated with the Department of Mathematical, Computing, and Information Sciences within the College of Arts, Humanities, and Sciences. He transitioned to academia after 17 years in secondary education, including eight years as a high school principal. Dr. Williams holds a dual BA in Mathematics and English from Talladega College (2005-2007), followed by MAE degrees in Math Secondary Education (2008) and Educational Leadership (2010) from the University of Alabama at Birmingham. He later earned an Ed.S. in Educational Leadership (2011) and an Ed.D. in Educational Leadership (2014) from Samford University.

His professional focus bridges mathematics education and leadership, with experience in curriculum development and teacher training. He currently teaches InterAlgebra for PreCalculus Education. A member of Alpha Phi Alpha Fraternity Incorporated, he resides in Jacksonville with his wife and three daughters.
