Daqing Hou serves as Professor and Chair of the Department of Software Engineering within the Golisano College of Computing and Information Sciences at Rochester Institute of Technology (RIT). His leadership integrates RIT's cooperative education model with industry-aligned teaching methodologies to prepare students for software development careers.
Research spans Software Engineering (focusing on empirical studies and human factors for efficient development), Cybersecurity, and Software Education innovation.
