Danny Norrington-Davies

Danny Norrington-Davies is a Visiting Lecturer in TESOL/Applied Linguistics at King’s College London, based in the Faculty of Social Science & Public Policy’s School of Education, Communication & Society. With over 25 years of experience, he has taught English globally and specialized in teacher education across multiple countries. His work focuses on grammar pedagogy, materials design, and form-focused instruction in communicative classrooms.

Research interests span second language acquisition (SLA), inclusive materials development, and teacher education. He supervises Master’s dissertations on topics like grammar teaching, materials evaluation, and teacher development. Danny is affiliated with the Research Centre for Language, Discourse & Communication, a hub for applied linguistics and language education studies.

Publications include Teaching grammar: from rules to reasons (2016) and a 2023 collaborative work on emergent language in teaching. His recent work emphasizes practical classroom applications and transformative pedagogical approaches.
