Danny Morris

Danny Morris, known as 'Mo,' is a Professor in the Department of Bass at Berklee College of Music, where he has taught since 1988. He specializes in teaching artistry, professional development, and bass techniques, emphasizing rhythmic and tonal individuality. Morris serves as the faculty ambassador to Berklee’s Valencia campus and has performed with notable bands like the James Montgomery Blues Band and the Jon Pousette-Dart Band. His teaching philosophy focuses on the consequences of musical choices, including note selection and rests, to shape impactful performances.

He designs courses at Berklee’s Boston campus, including Bass Performance 101 and R&B Bass, aiming to equip students with skills for successful music careers. Morris takes pride in mentoring students who have achieved professional success and maintains a strong commitment to fostering creativity and discipline in music.
