Professor Dann Mallet is a mathematics and STEM education expert at Queensland University of Technology (QUT), serving as Head of the School of Teacher Education and Leadership since 2020. He holds a PhD in Applied Mathematics from QUT and has expertise in both applied mathematics (focusing on tumor growth, Chlamydia dynamics, and mathematical biology) and STEM education innovation. His teaching excellence was recognized through the 2014 Australian Awards for University Teaching and his Senior Fellow status with the Higher Education Academy.
His research spans mathematical modeling of biological systems and educational strategies, including blended learning, transdisciplinary problem-solving, and competency alignment.
