Sarah Briant

Dr. Sarah Briant is a Senior Lecturer at Queensland University of Technology (QUT), based in the School of Architecture & Built Environment within the Faculty of Engineering. Her research focuses on work-integrated learning (WIL) in architecture, gender equity in design education, and urban planning topics like shade infrastructure and freight logistics. She holds a PhD from QUT and dual bachelor's degrees from the University of Queensland in Architecture and Design Studies.

Her professional affiliations include Fellowship in the Australian Institute of Architects (FRAIA). Key publications explore WIL methodologies, transdisciplinary education models, and gender-based academic performance trends in design programs. She has received notable awards such as the 2018 Creative Industries Staff Recognition Award for teaching excellence and the 2016 Vice-Chancellor's Performance Award.
