Dr. Daniil Yurchenko is an Associate Professor at the University of Southampton, affiliated with the Institute for Sound and Vibration Research (ISVR). He holds a PhD in Mechanical Engineering from Worcester Polytechnic Institute (2001) and has held academic positions at the University of Miami, Saint-Petersburg State Polytechnic Institute, and Heriot-Watt University.
His research focuses on Nonlinear and Stochastic Dynamics, Energy Harvesting, and Vibration Mitigation, with applications in renewable energy systems, aerospace, and infrastructure. Current projects include optimizing piezoelectric energy harvesters using machine learning and developing fractal-based wind energy solutions.
