Daniele Bregoli

Daniele Bregoli is a PhD candidate and Research Fellow at the Department of Information Engineering of Università Politecnica delle Marche, affiliated with the Centre for Innovation and Entrepreneurship (C2I). He is also a PhD Fellow at Maastricht University (November 2023 - October 2024).

• Education: Bachelor's in International Relations (2019) and Master's in European and International Policies (2021) from the Catholic University of Sacred Heart.

His research integrates quantitative methodologies and advanced data analysis to address challenges in economic integration of the Western Balkans and EU Adriatic-Ionian Strategy (EUSAIR). He specializes in big data analytics for policy evaluation and regional development.

• Key research areas: regional policy, macro-regional strategies, economic integration, smart city development, and digital transformation.

His recent publications focus on waste management in EU and Adriatic-Ionian regions, EUSAIR policy implications, and smart city evolution. He collaborates with institutions like Maastricht University, EDIH4MARCHE, and Eurac Research.

He contributes to European projects such as AI-Lead (Erasmus+ initiative for SMEs' AI adoption) and participates in conferences like REDETE 2022 and RSAI World Congress.
