Daniela Rajao

Dr. Daniela Rajao is an Associate Professor in the Department of Population Health at the University of Georgia's College of Veterinary Medicine, with an affiliation to the Poultry Diagnostic and Research Center. She holds a PhD, MS, and DVM from Universidade Federal de Minas Gerais in Brazil. Her research focuses on influenza virus molecular mechanisms, zoonotic disease transmission, and vaccine development for swine and avian species.

Her work emphasizes understanding host range determinants of influenza viruses, particularly in swine and poultry, and developing novel vaccine strategies.
