Daniel Zahra

Dr. Daniel Zahra is an Associate Professor of Assessment and Psychometrics at the University of Plymouth’s Peninsula Medical School (Faculty of Health). His work focuses on three key themes: assessment methodologies, equity in education, and interdisciplinary integration. He holds professional memberships including Chartered Psychologist (BPS), Senior Fellow of the Higher Education Academy, and Fellow of the Royal Statistical Society. Zahra leads projects such as exploring patient characteristics’ impact on medical assessments and co-authored studies on mental health among dental faculty in Pakistan. He supervises PhD students in areas like multisource feedback assessments and patient-centered feedback tools.

His educational background includes a PhD in Psychology, with research interests spanning psychometrics, statistics, and philosophy. Zahra actively contributes to UN Sustainable Development Goals through his work on healthcare education equity.
