Daniel Scotcher is a Lecturer in Applied Pharmacokinetics and PBPK/IVIVE Lead at the Centre for Applied Pharmacokinetic Research (CAPKR). He specializes in developing computational models to predict drug metabolism and transport in vivo, particularly focusing on physiologically-based pharmacokinetic (PBPK) frameworks for in vitro-in vivo extrapolation (IVIVE). His research emphasizes renal drug disposition, the impact of chronic conditions like chronic kidney disease (CKD), and the application of PBPK models for non-CYP enzymes such as aldehyde oxidase. He holds editorial board roles for Drug Metabolism and Disposition and leads educational units on PBPK modeling within the MSc in Model-Based Drug Development.
His research interests include drug transporter modulation (OAT1/OAT3, OCT2), endogenous biomarkers for transporter activity, and the translation of experimental data into clinical outcomes.
