Daniel S. Soucier

Daniel S. Soucier is an Adjunct Professor in the Department of History at the University of Maine, with affiliations in Maine Studies and Franco-American studies. He joined the Margaret Chase Smith Policy Center in 2019. His research focuses on bioregionalism, human ecology, and the role of the non-human world in geopolitics and military operations. He also examines natural resource control during the eighteenth century and the economic, labor, and environmental history of Maine's pulp and paper industry.
