Daniel L Real

Daniel L Real, JD, is an Associate Professor at the School of Law at Creighton University, where he has served for over 20 years. He teaches legal analysis and writing, Professional Responsibility, Commercial Contracts, and Sports Law, while advising the Sports Law Concentration and moderating the Sports and Entertainment Law Society.

His research focuses on Appellate Practice, Implicit Bias, Judicial Selection and Retention, Legal Writing, and Collaborative Learning. His publications include the Nebraska Appellate Practice and Procedure Handbook and interdisciplinary work on 3D-printed PPE during the pandemic.

Professor Real coaches nationally competitive moot court and negotiations teams, contributes to the Appellate Advocacy Blog, and served on the Legal Writing Institute and Nebraska State Bar Association committees. He previously worked as a judicial staff attorney for the Nebraska Court of Appeals for 20 years.
