Daniel Keech

Daniel Keech is a Researcher at the Countryside and Community Research Institute (CCRI), University of Gloucestershire, where he has worked since 2012 after two decades in food and environmental organizations. He teaches the Nature-based Solutions for Environmental Challenges module in the MSc Applied Ecology program and serves as CCRI's postgraduate studies contact.

Daniel's research centers on alternative food networks, cultural geography, and rural-urban interdependence, with specialized focus on nature-based solutions and green infrastructure. He employs transdisciplinary methods including living labs to innovate in rural digital services while integrating visual/performance arts with social science in landscape studies, particularly through Anglo-German cultural geographies.

As an academic supervisor, he has guided postgraduate students across cultural geography, applied ecology, landscape architecture, and fine art disciplines.
