Daniel K. Korir

Dr. Daniel K. Korir serves as Assistant Professor of Chemistry within the Department of Chemistry at East Texas Baptist University's School of Natural and Social Sciences.

His educational qualifications include:

• Bachelor of Science in Education (Mathematics and Chemistry) from Egerton University, Kenya
• Master of Science in Chemistry from Texas Woman's University, Denton
• Doctor of Philosophy in Chemistry from University of North Texas, Denton, Texas
• Postdoctoral training at University of Texas Health Science Center at Tyler

Dr. Korir's research program focuses on designing metallic, polymeric, liposomal, and peptide-based nanoparticles for therapeutic applications, with primary emphasis on brain tumor treatment and pulmonary disease management including COPD and lung fibrosis. His work investigates molecular responses to nanotherapeutics to develop targeted interventional strategies in oncology and respiratory medicine.

With extensive teaching experience spanning high school education and higher education institutions including Texas Woman's University, University of North Texas, and Dallas College, Dr. Korir integrates Christian principles with scientific pedagogy. He has served as lead pastor in the Dallas/Fort Worth area for nine years, advocating for holistic student development through the synthesis of faith and STEM education.
