Dr. Daniel Green serves as an Affiliated Lecturer in Slavonic Studies within the Faculty of Modern and Medieval Languages and Linguistics at the University of Cambridge. He is affiliated with Selwyn College and works from the Raised Faculty Building on Sidgwick Avenue.
Green's research examines the relationship between dress and literary production in nineteenth-century Russia. His scholarly interests encompass material culture, semiotics, the history of censorship, intellectual thought, and narrative theory. He is currently co-authoring an intermediate Russian language textbook forthcoming from Routledge.
Dr. Green earned his PhD from Harvard University and previously held a position as Departmental Lecturer at the University of Oxford before joining Cambridge. His academic trajectory demonstrates a strong foundation in Russian literary studies with interdisciplinary connections to cultural history and textual analysis.
