Daniel Graham

Professor Daniel Graham is a Professor of Statistical Modelling at Imperial College London's Department of Civil and Environmental Engineering, within the Faculty of Engineering. He leads the Centre for Transport Engineering & Modelling and directs the Transport Strategy Centre. His research focuses on statistical and mathematical models for transportation systems, including causal inference, data-centric engineering, and transport economics. Graham holds a PhD from Imperial College London and is a Fellow of the Institute of Mathematics and its Applications and the Royal Statistical Society. He also serves as a visiting professor at Zhejiang University and South East University in China.

His work explores transport infrastructure performance, urban mobility, and policy impacts, with notable contributions to understanding the effects of cycling infrastructure, airport operations, and congestion pricing. Recent studies analyze causal relationships in transport safety, air quality impacts of transport policies, and the economic implications of urban rail expansions.
