Daniel Childs is a Senior Lecturer in Education at the School of Social Sciences, Humanities & Law, Teesside University. He has worked in the Learning and Teaching Enhancement team since 2016 and previously served as Course Leader for the PGCE: Education and Training (and specialist routes) from 2020 to 2024. Currently, he teaches CertEd Learning and Skills Teacher and PgCLTHE while pursuing his Doctorate in Education.

His research focuses intersect with teacher and trainee teacher professional identity, technology-enhanced learning, and historical perspectives on education. He brings expertise in pedagogical practices and curriculum development, informed by his background as an EFL teacher prior to joining Teesside University.
