Dana Strachan

Dana Strachan serves as Dean and Professor of Pharmacy Practice at Palm Beach Atlantic University's Lloyd L. Gregory School of Pharmacy, holding this position since joining the institution in 2005. She coordinates pharmacy calculations instruction for first-year students and teaches in the pharmacotherapy sequence while directing the Gregory Center for Medical Missions.

Her educational background includes a Doctor of Pharmacy from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill (2004) and a primary care/managed care residency at Campbell University (2004-2005). She maintains Board of Pharmaceutical Specialties certification in pharmacotherapy (awarded 2007) and completed the American Association of Colleges of Pharmacy's Academic Leadership Fellows Program (2018-2019).

Dr. Strachan's research spans Pharmacy Practice, Pharmacotherapy, Pharmacy Calculations, Men's Health, Artificial Intelligence applications, and Global Health initiatives. Her publications appear in the American Journal of Health-System Pharmacy, American Journal of Pharmaceutical Education, and Journal of Pharmacy Practice, with significant contributions to the Pharmacotherapy Self-Assessment Program. Her work demonstrates consistent focus on innovative teaching methodologies and international service learning.

As Director of Medical Missions, she has led teams to the Dominican Republic, Belize, Costa Rica, and Honduras. Dr. Strachan actively mentors pharmacy students and presents at major conferences including the Florida Pharmacy Association and American Association of Colleges of Pharmacy, emphasizing practical training and professional development.
