Dana Kaminstein

Dana Kaminstein is an Adjunct Assistant Professor at the Graduate School of Education and an affiliated faculty member of the Organizational Dynamics Programs at the University of Pennsylvania. With over three decades of teaching experience at Penn since 1984, he specializes in graduate-level education and has held teaching roles at the Wharton Executive Education, Graduate School of Education, and School of Social Policy and Practice.

Dr. Kaminstein’s expertise lies in organizational dynamics, focusing on areas such as group dynamics, organizational diagnosis, psychodynamics of organizational life, and leadership development. His research explores how groups influence broader organizational systems, critiques leadership studies, examines unequal power structures, and investigates mentoring practices. He is also involved in developing leadership programs for executives globally.

Scientific Awards include the 2020 College of Liberal and Professional Studies Award for Distinguished Teaching in Professional Graduate Programs and a long-standing fellowship at Wharton Executive Education. He has coached executives from 41 countries and consulted for multinational corporations in Scotland, England, France, South Africa, and Japan.

Dr. Kaminstein co-founded the Wynford Institute, which leverages experiential education to address critical human community challenges. His teaching emphasizes practical, experiential approaches to organizational diagnosis and team dynamics.
