Dan Faoro is an Associate Professor in the Department of Architecture at Lawrence Technological University, teaching structural systems courses and senior comprehensive/capstone studios. He previously served as Interim Department Chair of Architecture.

- Master of Architecture in Urban Design (MAUD) from Harvard University (1983)
- Studies at Unité pédagogique d’architecture numéro 3 in Versailles, France (1980)
Professor Faoro's research centers on sustainable building design, energy conservation, and building systems integration, with significant contributions to professional ethics in architecture. His work includes co-authoring a monograph section on architectural ethics research and contributing to the ASHRAE Green Guide. Under his mentorship, students have won seven ASHRAE international competition awards in sustainable building design.
He has received the AIA Henry Adams Medal and Certificate for academic excellence, along with numerous service awards from university and civic organizations.
Professor Faoro actively engages in civic service through board positions with Churches United for the Homeless, Eastside Emergency Center, Society of St. Vincent de Paul, and Journey to Housing Transitional Housing Program. He also participates in the AIA Search for Shelter Program and serves on the Gregor and Elizabeth Affleck House Renovation Council.
