Dale Cox

Dale Cox is an Assistant Professor of Music at Coastal Carolina University, specializing in Contemporary Commercial Music (CCM) and Musical Theatre singing. She previously taught at the Sharjah Performing Arts Academy in the UAE.

Research Interests include voice pedagogy, gender equity in performing arts, and emotional safety in singing studios. Her work intersects CCM and musical theatre practices with critical theory, particularly Bourdieu's structural field studies and Big Q research methodology.

Publications & Presentations include an upcoming book chapter with Routledge and presentations at The Voice Foundation, MTEA, Classical Singer Convention, and ANATS conferences.

Teaching Areas focus on Musical Theatre and Contemporary Singing techniques.
