Dalal Khatib is a Ph.D. candidate in Sociology at Wayne State University (WSU) and a full-time Research Associate in the School of Medicine's Department of Psychiatry and Behavioral Neurosciences. Her work bridges medical sociology and mental health, focusing on Arab American immigrant/refugee integration in Metro Detroit, resilience in marginalized communities, and trauma coping strategies. She has supported over 20 Principal Investigators across WSU since 2006, leveraging trilingual (Arabic/English/French) expertise to address cultural and linguistic barriers in research.
