Crane Tim is a Professor of Philosophy at the Central European University. Previously, he held positions such as Knightbridge Professor of Philosophy at the University of Cambridge (2009–2017) and Professor of Philosophy at University College London (2002–2009). His academic journey includes roles as Founding Director of the Institute of Philosophy at the University of London (2005–2008) and earlier positions at UCL as Reader (1996–2002) and Lecturer (1990–1996). He is a member of the Academy of Europe (elected 2008) and has been honored with prestigious awards, including the Italian Society for Neuroethics Prize (2015) and the Armenson Award (2021). His research focuses on Philosophy of Mind, Metaphysics, and Philosophy of Psychology, with notable contributions to interdisciplinary dialogue between philosophy and cognitive sciences.
