Craig Van Dyke

Craig Van Dyke is an Adjunct Associate Professor at ArtCenter College of Design, where he has been teaching since 2018. He also taught film and animation courses at Chapman University starting in 2017. His professional career spans over two decades in visual effects (VFX) and animation, with roles at Digital Domain, DreamWorks, and Netflix Animation. Van Dyke specializes in layout design, visualization, and 3D animation, contributing to major films like Pirates of the Caribbean 3, The Curious Case of Benjamin Button, and How to Train Your Dragon 2. He currently serves as a layout lead on Netflix’s animated feature Over the Moon.

His expertise includes 3D modeling, animation, and technical direction, with notable experience at studios such as Disney, Method, and Mirada. Van Dyke’s work bridges artistic creativity and technical proficiency, focusing on the intersection of storytelling and visual technology.
