About
Dr. Craig McBeth is a Lecturer in Biomedical Science specializing in electrochemical sensor development for biomedical applications. His current research explores electrochemical manipulation of cancer metabolism and bioengineered electrical sources.
Research domains include:
- Electrochemical biosensor design for real-time cell culture monitoring
- Redox modulation in cancer metabolism
- Nanomaterial classification and applications
- Electrochemiluminescent material synthesis
Prior to joining Teesside University, he contributed to projects funded by EPSRC, Cancer Research UK, and Horizon 2020, developing sensors for oxidative stress detection and nanomaterial characterization. He holds a PhD from Leeds Beckett University (2019) focusing on electrochemical detection of oxidative stress biomarkers and is a member of the Royal Society of Chemistry.
