Craig Batham is a Senior Lecturer in Policing at the Sheffield Institute of Law and Justice, part of Sheffield Hallam University (SHU). He joined SHU in 2020 as a Work Based Learning Coach, transitioning to lecturing in 2021. He has held roles as PCDA Course Leader and currently leads the Level 4 PCDA program. Outside academia, he serves as a Special Constable with South Yorkshire Police since 2008, combining operational policing experience with academic theory. He contributed to the 2022 Commonwealth Games in Birmingham and emphasizes bridging academic and practical policing skills.
