Corrie Knapp

Corrie Knapp is an Associate Professor in the Haub School of Environment and Natural Resources at the University of Wyoming. She holds affiliations with the Institute for Rural Resilience & Innovation and the Center for Climate, Water, and People. Her work focuses on climate adaptation, social-ecological systems, and equitable resource management. Knapp has a diverse background in non-profit work, agricultural production, and environmental education, which she integrates into teaching and research.

Education: PhD in Human Ecology (University of Alaska Fairbanks), MS in Rangeland Ecology (Colorado State University), BA in Literature & Writing (University of Colorado Denver).

Research interests include climate change impacts on communities, conservation innovation, and the intersection of rangeland ecosystems with human livelihoods. Current projects involve Wyoming water availability (WyACT), climate adaptation strategies, and National Climate Assessment contributions. She teaches courses in environmental assessment, climate change responses, and rangeland management.

Knapp emphasizes transdisciplinary approaches, knowledge co-production, and real-world application of research. She has advised students achieving a 95% placement rate in environmental careers through her former program leadership.
