Cornelia Zehbold

Prof. Cornelia Zehbold serves as Professor of Business Informatics/Information Systems at the Faculty of Industrial Engineering, Technical University of Ingolstadt since 2001. Her leadership roles include Vice President of THI (2019-2020), Senate Chair (2015-2016), and Women's Representative (2013-2016), demonstrating deep institutional engagement.

Educational background: Doctorate in economics from FAU Erlangen-Nuremberg (1995) with dissertation on "Life Cycle Costing"; business administration studies at FAU Erlangen-Nuremberg (1984-1989) focusing on business informatics, accounting, and economic geography.

Her research centers on business process management and information systems, integrating Design Thinking methodologies with innovative approaches to operational workflows. This work stems from extensive industry experience in management information systems consolidation and auditing, particularly during her tenure at Sanacorp eG/AG (1995-1998).

Prof. Zehbold maintains active service commitments including conference reviewing in business process management, prior roles as SAP coordinator (until 2014), ECTS Officer (until 2004), and external evaluator for business administration programs in Baden-Württemberg (2002-2004). She previously lectured in Master IT Management and Master International Automotive Engineering programs until 2005.
