Cornelia Wild

Dr. Cornelia Wild is a Professor of Music Education at the Karlsruhe University of Music since 2023. Previously, she contributed to the Master of Music Education/Concert Pedagogy programme at the University of Augsburg (2014-2022). She serves on the University Council of Karlsruhe University of Music and is a member of the Forum Musikvermittlung an Hochschulen und Universitäten.

Education: Studied school music and piano at Karlsruhe University of Music, earned a Master's in Music Education from the University of Augsburg, and pursued Cultural Management at Hamburg University of Music and Performing Arts.

Research focuses on new concert formats, post-digital mediation practices, and audience participation. She designs immersive experiences blending artistic performance, pedagogy, and curatorial approaches. Notable collaborations include ZKM Karlsruhe, Festspielhaus Baden-Baden, and the Live Music Now Foundation.

Leadership roles include coordinating MusikMobil Karlsruhe (2022–2024) and organizing children's concerts reaching 5,000+ young listeners. Her upcoming book on concert atmospheres (transcript-Verlag, 2025) explores sensory and experiential dimensions of music mediation.
