Corine Brown is Associate Professor in Early Childhood, Elementary Education & Critical Foundations at Rowan University's College of Education. She holds a B.S. in Elementary Education (Bloomsburg University), M.Ed. in Gifted Education (University of Virginia), and Ph.D. in Educational Psychology (University of Virginia).
Her research examines learning community development, instructional strategies for diverse learners, and urban education reform. As Program Coordinator for Elementary Education, she leads curriculum development and teacher preparation initiatives. She serves as Professor-in-Residence at Johnstone Elementary School, Rowan's longest-running Professional Development School partnership.
Brown teaches foundational courses including Teaching in Learning Communities, Clinical Practice, and Teaching of Students with Linguistic and Cultural Differences. She co-counsels Rowan's Eta Psi chapter of Kappa Delta Pi, recognized nationally for excellence.
