Corin Hewitt is a Professor in the Sculpture + Extended Media department at Virginia Commonwealth University. His practice spans installations, performances, sculptures, photographs, and videos that examine relationships between architecture and domestic life, informed by his prior work as an electrician and plumber.

Hewitt’s work investigates the intersection of utilitarian labor and artistic expression, often incorporating materials and methodologies from his experience in trades.
